Maryland Governor Wes Moore has appointed Leah Sera, Chad Johnson, and Zafar Zafari to multiyear terms.

Research led by Dr. Zafar Zafari will help inform future studies and guide policy decisions to reduce health care and economic costs associated with COPD in the U.S.

Study co-authored by Dr. Zafar Zafari finds housing vouchers restricted to use in low-poverty neighborhoods cost less than traditional vouchers and help improve recipients’ health and life expectancy.
