David A. Blake, BSP ’63, PhD ‘67, a former chair of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy’s then Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, passed away at the age of 80 on Oct. 14, 2021, in Big Canoe, Ga.
“The entire School of Pharmacy community sends their thoughts of sympathy and comfort to Dr. Blake’s family,” said Natalie D. Eddington, PhD, FAAPS, FCP, dean and professor of the School of Pharmacy. “Dr. Blake was one of the youngest department chairs that any of us can recall at the School of Pharmacy, a testament to his wisdom and leadership. As an alumnus and member of our Board of Visitors for many years in the mid-2000s, Dr. Blake could be counted on for his knowledge, support, innovative ideas, and sage counsel.” Click here to read David Blake’s obituary.
